This is a music collaboration I did with a music producer called Clément Berral for a short film. The producer asked me to experiment with my voice. The scene is a bit of a resentful one, showing the betrayal two characters felt from the world. They stand around a fire pit and burn old pictures of lovers who left them in vengeance. I tried to imitate this feeling of betrayal and anger through my voice by playing around with Arabic melodic modes and the cracks of my voice that expressed inner pain. At some point in this project, I was completely taken away by the music. I wasn't thinking anymore and felt like I was overfloating from my singing. In other words, my thoughts took me somewhere else, to another place where I expressed my internal anger.
